“If Music be the Food of Love, Play On” An evening celebrating the Bard!

shakespeare

Enjoy an evening of music, select Shakespeare readings and stories, dance, savory appetizers and sweets all while strolling through the Cranbrook Institute of Science. Our “If Music be the Food of Love, Play On” evening will benefit the Cranbrook Music Guild as we start our 66th season!

Music will be performed by NUCLASSICA under the guidance of Jordan Broder. This electro-pop violin ensemble will delight our guests with Renaissance pieces, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet and selections from West Side Story. Brian Murphy and his brother Thomas will bring Shakespeare’s works to life with a discussion aptly titled “O me! What fray was here?”  Romeo before Juliet.

Mark your calendars now for Thursday, September 22 starting at 6:30pm.

Tickets $35 include admission into the museum, the evening performance, appetizers/sweets and coffee. A cash wine bar will be on hand. Proceeds will benefit Cranbrook Music Guild.
